Origin: Malaysia

The Magonstan tree is part of the Garcinia family, and is one of 200 species.  The fruit is said to be one of the world’s most delicious fruits.  Introduced to Lancetilla in 1927, the Mangostan tree can be up to 20 m tall. The fruit has a dark purple skin, whilst the fruit itself is creamy white and segmented.
